IoT Service Providers
nCore Communications is developing a “multi-connectivity" platform that supports all access technologies within a single unified core network. This will lead to reduced operating cost and complexity, at the same time as enabling a set of unified features across all access technologies. nCore’s "multi-connectivity" platform is based on LTE technology, providing the same level of security, mobility and reliability for WiFi, LoRaWAN, Satellite and wired access as is experienced with LTE cellular network. An LTE-based common network will also facilitate machine-to-machine discovery and connectivity, even across dissimilar access technologies. Further, LTE network has the required functionality for billing and charging policy. Perhaps the single most immediately relevant feature of nCore’s common platform is a unified (SIM-Based) security for all access technologies, be it WiFi, LoRaWAN or LTE, as IoT security is the industry’s top concern in 2017.
